Fineman, Irving

(b. 1893)
   American novelist. He was born in New York and worked as an engineer until 1929, when he turned to writing. Of his later novels Jacob and Ruth deal with biblical themes. He also wrote a biography of Henrietta Szold, Woman of Valor.
